What is Prescriply?+
A cloud service for doctors in Bangladesh — structured prescriptions, chamber-tagged visits, and automatic chamber-wise fee/revenue/settlement accounting. Each account belongs to one doctor (the tenant).
Is it free?+
Yes. The Free plan (৳0) includes every feature — chamber-wise revenue and settlement — but limits you to 30 prescriptions in total (a one-time allowance, not a monthly reset). For unlimited prescriptions, choose Pro (৳199/month) or Clinic (৳499/month). List prices are exclusive of 15% VAT (added at checkout, with a VAT invoice). Details in the Terms.
Is an online (e-)prescription legal in Bangladesh?+
Yes. A BM&DC-registered doctor may issue a digital prescription in Bangladesh — the BM&DC telemedicine guidance (2020) and the ICT Act 2006 recognise electronic records and signatures, and the prescribing doctor stays fully responsible. See our guide on e-prescription legality.
Do your prices include VAT, and do I get an invoice?+
List plan prices are exclusive of 15% VAT, added at checkout (Pro ৳228.85, Clinic ৳573.85 all-in). You see the full base + VAT + total before paying and receive a VAT invoice showing our BIN — a Mushak 6.3 challan. SMS and AI credits are billed separately, pay-as-you-go.
How does chamber settlement work?+
Every visit and fee is counted to a specific chamber. There are three share models — FULL (all yours), SPLIT (percentage split), and RENT (a fixed rent). DAILY chambers settle each day, MONTHLY chambers settle at month-end. All calculations are exact to the paisa — no float drift.
How is the fee decided per visit?+
By visit type: NEW → new fee, REPORT → report fee, FOLLOWUP → follow-up fee. If a follow-up falls within the configured free-follow-up window, the fee is treated as ৳0. This is controlled from a single source, so the calculation stays consistent everywhere.
Is my patients' data safe?+
Yes — TLS encryption, bcrypt password hashing, OTP verification, role-based access, and tenant-based row-level isolation. Details in Data Protection and the Privacy Policy.
Where is my data stored?+
The app and data are hosted in AWS Asia Pacific (Singapore, ap-southeast-1), with the database on Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL in that same region. As Bangladesh's data-protection rules evolve, our roadmap includes a synchronised copy of sensitive health data within the country — see Data Protection.
How do I get the Verified badge?+
Your BM&DC/registration information is collected during registration; once our verification process is complete, the Verified badge is shown on your profile. It is not a guarantee of competence, only an indication of identity verification.
How can a patient check that a Prescriply prescription is genuine?+
Every prescription carries a QR code and a public authenticity link. Opening it shows an “Authentic prescription” banner naming the issuing doctor and chamber, the doctor's BM&DC registration number, and the prescription exactly as issued — so nothing can be quietly altered. When the doctor has completed BM&DC verification, it also shows a “Reg. verified by Prescriply” badge. See how to check a prescription is genuine.
How do I verify that a doctor is registered with the BM&DC?+
Search the official register at verify.bmdc.org.bd by the doctor's registration number (MBBS numbers use an “A-” prefix — enter the digits and pick MBBS or BDS). A registered doctor returns a matching record. See how to verify a doctor's BM&DC registration.
Does the public prescription link reveal my private information?+
It shows the prescription — doctor, chamber, diagnosis and medicines — because that is what a pharmacy or patient needs to read. It deliberately withholds your national health ID, mobile number and home address; those stay on the doctor's own copy and the OTP-protected patient portal.
How accurate is the AI assist?+
The AI assist (powered by Amazon Bedrock) is supportive and advisory only — it can make mistakes and is not a substitute for professional judgment. Final responsibility for all diagnoses, medicines, and doses rests with the prescribing doctor. Always verify before use.
Where does the drug data come from?+
The drug database is compiled from the MedEx Bangladesh medicine index — a commercial drug-information source, not a DGDA data feed — and is provided for reference. It is not a recommendation to prescribe any specific drug; the final decision is the doctor's.
What does dosing look like?+
For example: 1+0+1, after meals, 3 months. You can easily set the dose, timing, and duration for each item.
How does the patient view the Rx?+
Every prescription has a secure link/QR and can be sent by SMS. The patient can view their own prescription using an OTP/token — no account required.
What about SMS costs?+
OTP and patient-notification SMS are sent through the GenNet gateway. Separate prepaid packs apply for SMS and AI usage depending on volume; current rates and packs are shown in the app on the billing page.
How do I upgrade?+
Upgrade to Pro or Clinic at any time from the billing/plan page in the app. Upgrades take effect immediately; if you downgrade or cancel, access continues until the end of the current period.
What happens to my data if I close my account?+
You can close your account at any time. Clinical records may be retained for the applicable statutory retention period, after which they are securely deleted or anonymized — details in the Privacy Policy.
